Q&A

Captain Jeff is a father of 2 kids so safety is his first priority and want to address any parent's concern that he would want for his kids, especially for parents and kids who are new to fishiing and may not know what to expect. In fishing, the weather and water conditions is crucial factor that determine if the Captain is going to go fishing or not. While the plan is to always go fishing everyday, on occassion, if Captain Jeff determine that the conditions are unsafe, uncomfortable, or unfavorable, we work in proteced areas or simply cut the trip short or cancel a day. BOTTOM LINE: We will NEVER put your kids in dangerous condition.

Q: Why is the age limited to just 10-15 years?

A: We believe it is best to keep the kids around the same age range.

Q: Is fishing experience required?

A: No fishing experience is required. We are here to teach and have fun. If those have experience, we will fine tune their skills.

Q: Can kids keep their fish?
A: During kids camp we will be practicing catch and release. Part of camp is to teach kids how to proprly handle and carefully release their catch unharmed after taking a picture.

Q: What if my child gets seasick?

A: While this is something we cannot control, it is uncommon on the Delta. If your child has a history of motion sickness or if you are not certain, there are a few over-the-counter options like Dramamine, Bonine, or Tryptone, that have a version made for children. You should consult with your pediatrician before deciding on any medication. We cannot administer medication of ANY KIND.

Weather/Cancellation Policy
In the event, we have to cancel activities, the following applies:

If any days are canceled within a session due to inclement weather, the participant will be offered a prorated refund of $100.  Camper cancellations or no-shows forfeit the day of camp with no make-up or refund.
